Toyota C-HR – How to turn off the low tire pressure warning?

Here’s a non-themed post for today – about cars. Just writing in case it helps someone 🙂 So: Toyota C-HR – how to turn off the low tire pressure warning?

I’ve been driving the Toyota C-HR for almost half a year now. It’s a very comfortable car, which performs well both in the city cycle (fuel consumption in the city ranges from 3 to 3.5 liters per 100 kilometers) and for long-distance trips (I tested it a couple of weeks ago on a 2000-kilometer trip over three days: 1000 kilometers there, a day and a half at the destination, and 1000 kilometers back). The winter this year dragged on, so I swapped the winter tires for summer ones in mid-May. I changed the tires, but I got not only summer tires but also a warning that the tire pressure was incorrect. Toyota C-HR tire pressure sensor I checked the pressure, pumped them up – still, the warning remained 🙁 I started digging into it and found out that after changing the tires, you need to set the correct pressure level for the computer. And even though this option is available in the onboard computer menu – all attempts to press and hold the SET button, or just press it and expect a result, didn’t help. Turns out you need to press the SET button three times in a row! Press it with a one-second interval, and then you’ll see the tire pressure indicator blinking (it blinks for about a minute), after which it turns off. That’s it, it won’t bother you anymore…

A little annoying detail, but just in case it helps someone.

UPD: If you press the button and nothing happens, make sure the tire pressure is equal across all tires 🙂
